9.7 Financial and Other Support

Why is this important?

While capital for investment in technology innovation and incubation remains available, the region’s ability to attract investors will depend on the technology readiness of the community.  This indicator tracks dedicated financial and other support for increasing access to and use of technology in education, workforce development, and nonprofit capacity building.

How are we doing?

The active participation of local businesses and philanthropic institutions combined with government investment has been critical to increasing access to technology equipment, infrastructure and skills among Boston and Massachusetts residents and nonprofits.
